You and your company are cordially invited to apply to join the only
association, with the sole mission of supporting the hot tub industry called the International Hot Tub Association (IHTA).  For several years, many of our industry members desired an organization that was more focused on setting goals and objectives that actually sees results on specific issues that are important to our segment of the industry including: Government Regulations, Safety, Education, Research and Promotion.

IHTA Goals
Our association is monitoring government regulations at the Federal and State level to help protect your business and the industry – a hot tub industry first!

Additionally, we will focus and set goals for specific issues that are important to our industry including safety, education and research.

An International Scope
The IHTA is working with other international industry representatives to foster a relationship and assist them in the development andimplementation of portable hot tub standards, specifically full
implementation of UL 1563 and non-infringement on trademarks and patents. For the second year, IHTA will be exhibiting and speaking at the Piscine Pool & Spa Show in Lyon, France. There are a lot of unsafe/uncertified spas being manufactured overseas making their way into the USA and many other counties.  IHTA is resolved to work on this issue and has strict guidelines which will not allow these manufacturers to be members.

Promotion
You might have heard that IHTA was being formed. Our founding industry members are very passionate about the hot tub industry and see this organization as the potential conduit for other trade groups in our industry.  Why was IHTA created?

  • To accomplish our goals, we needed funding which currently is not available at the
    necessary level.
  • We needed a “hot tub only” organization which works hand in hand with
    professional staff that is focused on moving our agenda forward consistently throughout the year.
  • We needed the ability to have a clear identity with a marketable name that identifies our trade.

Through our strategic planning and goal setting we are embarking on a new journey.  Our path is helping to elevate our industry including working together and collaborating with other trade associations on common issues.  IHTA is partnering with other associations and we hope to pour our resources into programs and projects that will benefit the hot tub industry now and in the near future!

 We look forward to welcoming you into the IHTA family!  All applicants will receive a special full color “Member” Certificate which will be issued once your application is approved along with a new member kit.
For the first time, the hot tub industry has a single industry organization utilizing dues to protect and promote the industry.  Our short-range plans focus on protection, but our long-range strategic plan is global protection and promotion.  We have developed a focus or road map to impact the industry in a very positive fashion.
